OK... nobody other than the programmers at Google knows how their site ranking mechanism works.
When I first found this chat, some 10 years ago, I typed 'pagan' into AltaVista, which was at that time the leading search engine. PaganPaths.org was top billing
Now... this was to be my last try on irc... I'd been thru any number of annoying chats, on the Big Networks, full of 'script kiddies' flooding ascii graphics, with Opers kicking someone about every three seconds... Needless to say, this was not particularly fulfilling :/
So I stayed in PaganPaths, which I found 'laid back,' conducive of intelligent covno; eventually assuming management and attempting to improve it as best I could. But that's only an intro to my request that you engage in this experiment
Now, in Google, if I type 'pagan irc,' we're at the top; if 'pagan chat,' we're somewhere on page 4.
Soo... I'd like to ask folk to do a google search on 'Pagan Chat,', and when you find PaganPaths, simply click on the link to the website. Please don't do this more than once every couple days, as I' sure google factors the 'IP addy' into their algorithm.
I'm hoping that this will bring our Server more into the prominence it deserves -- we've been around as long as WitchVox, and, in Internet Time, that's substantial.
